BREAKING NEWS: Jurgen Klopp Breaks Silent on New Deal For Kostas Tsimikas Replacement after injury forced star out for a very long time…

Kostas Tsimikas injury could force Liverpool into transfer with star “out for a long time”

The Greek international defender suffered a broken collarbone in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal after a challenge from Bukayo Saka, with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp confirming he faces a long spell on the sidelines

Kostas Tsimikas has become the second Liverpool left-back to suffer a serious injury this season, with the Greek breaking his collarbone in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal.

Bukayo Saka’s challenge sent the defender into his manager Jurgen Klopp in the 35th minute of the contest, with Klopp also falling and landing awkwardly on his player.

Tsimikas was taken to hospital following the incident, which Saka has apologised for, and Klopp later confirmed that he faces an extended spell on the sidelines. The Greek has proved to be an able deputy to Andy Robertson this season, after the Scotland captain dislocated his shoulder on international duty in October.

Joe Gomez came on for Tsimikas following his injury, with the England international playing at left-back as he has on a handful of occasions this season. But with no timescale on Robertson’s return just yet, the Reds could be tempted to move into the transfer market in January for a left-back or a versatile defender who can player across the defence such as Gomez.

If they do, here are some options they may consider.
