Liverpool are one of the clubs interested in signing Hoffenheim striker Maximilian Beier, but the Reds will have to wait until the summer window, as per Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The 21-year-old striker has impressed this season, managing 6 goals and 4 assists this Bundesliga. He has a release clause of around £25m and several English clubs including Liverpool are keen to sign him.
Plettenberg says that the player himself wants to leave the German club in the summer. The German striker is eyeing a spot in the national team for the Euro 2024, and many clubs have enquired about him already.

Need for striker
Liverpool do have enough depth in their forward region but Jurgen Klopp could be interested in bolstering that area. The Reds didn’t sign a replacement for Roberto Firmino last summer but they could do now.
The Reds play a fluid 4-3-3 where they don’t have any number nine as such, but Beier could fit in Jurgen Klopp’s style.
Moreover, there is doubt over the long-term future of Mohamed Salah who was chased by Saudi clubs last summer. Liverpool rejected a tempting offer for the Egyptian who has scored 200 goals for the club in all competitions, but they may look to cash in on him if they receive another tempting bid next summer.
Beier looks like a cracking prospect and the release clause is well within the affordable price. The last time Liverpool signed a striker from Hoffenheim, he went on to become a legend at the club. At the moment, it’s not clear how serious Liverpool are about signing him, but it seems they are heavily interested.
