‘I love’: Freddie Ljungberg now speechless over £34m Liverpool player who did the ‘impossible’ vs Crystal Palace

Freddie Ljungberg has lauded Mohamed Salah after the Liverpool winger scored his 200th goal in all competitions for the Reds against Crystal Palace.

The winger was once again the man for the big moment as Salah kickstarted Liverpool’s comeback against the Eagles with a deflected finish to put the Anfield side back into the game in south London.

With Harvey Elliott making it 2-1 in stoppage time, Salah’s goal was massive for both the attacker’s Liverpool career and also the Premier League title race.

And speaking on Viaplay post-match, Ljungberg was full of praise for Salah and what the forward has now achieved at Liverpool since joining in 2017 for £34m.

Indeed, the Swedish footballing legend is clearly a big fan of Salah, and Ljungberg was quick to highlight how hard defenders find it to stop the Liverpool superstar.

Ljungberg said: “I don’t know what to say. He is an incredible football player and I love watching him run with the ball. It’s impossible for defenders to mark him. He’s had a fantastic career.”

And whilst this season could be Salah’s last, bringing the English championship back to Merseyside would only add to the Egyptian’s legend at Liverpool.
