DONE DEAL: Whites appoints 49 year old German as their new Manager.

The 49ers are believed to be one step away from unveiling their new manager at Elland Road.

According to sources, Leeds United and Daniel Farke are in advanced negotiations for Farke to become the club’s next manager at Elland Road.

What has become of Daniel Farke?

Over the years, the German manager has accumulated a ton of experience. His first managerial position was with SV

Lippstadt 08 of the Regionalliga West.

He then went on to manage Norwich City, Krasnodar, Borussia Dortmund’s B team, and most recently Borussia

Monchengladbach, where he left earlier this month and is now a free agent on the market, according to Transfermarkt.

The 46-year-old was previously mentioned by Sky Sports as a candidate for the Whites’ open position, along with Carlos

Corberan and Patrick Vieira of West Bromwich Albion. However, it now seems that the former is the one receiving the

hierarchy’s preference.

According to a recent report from The Daily Mail, the former Canaries coach has emerged as the front-runner for the

position after leaping to the top of the board’s shortlist. If the following update is to be believed, a deal is now closer than

ever to being completed.

Will Farke visit Leeds?

is reportedly in “advanced talks” to replace Garry Monk as Leeds’ manager before the 2023–24 season, according to

Football Insider.

The Yorkshire company is “confident” that the appointment will be made and that the deal is “all but done” in the near

future.

The Football League must “ratify the takeover” of the 49ers before Elland Road Chiefs can debut their new look ahead of the

start of preseason.

Leeds will be aware of what a “fantastic” manager, as described by journalist Josh Bunting, Farke is because his squad

defeated the club twice while on the road. Given his stellar record, Farke may be the ideal choice to succeed Sam Allardyce.

According to Transfermarkt, the Steinhausen native, whose favoured formation is a 4-2-3-1, has managed 138 games in the

Championship and has won 71, drawn 38, and lost just 29 of them while averaging 1.82 points per game. This steady play

has more than paid off.

During his time at Norwich, Farke led the side to promotion from the second tier twice so knows exactly what it takes to

compete and be successful at this level, therefore making him an ideal match to try and achieve that again a third time, only

on this occasion at Elland Road in the 49ers’ first campaign fully at the helm.
